Drake Music NI had the incredible honour to be invited to a reception hosted by His Majesty The King at Windsor Castle, celebrating the very best of community music across the UK.

We were delighted to be invited to represent Northern Ireland alongside so many inspiring organisations from across the UK who share our belief in the power of music to connect, uplift, and empower individuals of all abilities.

The event was a celebration of creativity and inclusion. It was a chance to reflect on the transformative role music plays in our community and share space with others working passionately across the sector.

It was also a joy to reconnect with long-time friends and to meet new industry friends from all corners of the UK. These connections remind us that we are part of a wider movement—one that believes everyone deserves access to meaningful, creative experiences, regardless of background or ability.

For Drake Music NI, this invitation was not only a moment of recognition—it was a celebration of every young person, adult, tutors and artist we’ve worked with over the years. From community workshops to inclusive performances, from our studio places, to schools and care homes, everything we do is driven by the belief that music is for everyone.

We left Windsor Castle feeling inspired, grateful, and more committed than ever to continuing our mission to break down barriers to music-making and ensure that every voice has the chance to be heard.
